How We Handle Your Files

This is the thing we're most proud of. When you use our image compressor, PDF tools, JSON formatter, or pretty much anything else—it all happens right in your browser. Your files don't get uploaded anywhere. They stay on your machine the whole time.

We chose to build things this way because, honestly, we wouldn't want our own files floating around on some random server either. Client-side processing takes more engineering effort, but it's the right thing to do.

What About Cookies?

We use local storage and cookies for core functionality, security, analytics, and advertising. For example, we may store preferences so your tool settings persist between visits.

Some cookies are set by third-party services we use (such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, and Google AdSense). These services may collect device, browser, and interaction signals to help us measure performance and serve ads.

Analytics Stuff

Okay, real talk: we do use Google Analytics and Hotjar. Here's why—we want to know which tools people actually use so we can make them better. Google Analytics tells us things like "hey, a lot of people are using the password generator" or "nobody can find the color picker tool."

Hotjar helps us see where people get confused on the site (like if everyone clicks on a button that doesn't work). We use this to fix problems. Neither of these services can see your actual files or the content you're working with.

Ads & Third-Party Cookies

We use Google AdSense to serve ads when you visit our website. Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology to the advertisements and links that appear on Axonix Tools send directly to your browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) may also be used by the third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertisements and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see.

Axonix Tools has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices.

If you're in Europe, California, or anywhere with privacy laws, you've got rights. You can ask us what data we have on you (spoiler: probably not much), ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop processing it. Just shoot us a message and we'll sort it out.

Kids

Our site isn't aimed at kids under 13. We don't knowingly collect any info from minors. If you're a parent and think your kid somehow gave us their info, let us know and we'll remove it immediately.
